My Workout Plan

Hi guys!

I’ve decided to share my road to a more healthy body with you guys. I’m going to Mauritius in about 7 weeks and I’m going to try and get a beach body (or something close to it) in those 7 weeks. This is going to be hard, but I’m going to try. I thought it could be nice if I’d share my workout plan with you guys, not only because many of you are interested in it but also because I’d like you to work out with me! I think it would be very fun if we do it together. I’m going to keep you guys up to date with my workouts on instastories (@lauralynnsworld). I’m going to give you guys an update every week or two weeks about my progress and my difficulties that week. I will also make some videos about what I ate that week and maybe I’ll even try out a workout? Healthy food recipes will appear on the blog as well.

This is the first post I will write about my “Road to..”. I’m going to lay out my workout plan in general. So here we go.

I’m going to do a workout each monday, wednesday, thursday and saturday. I don’t think I’ll be able to workout every day because I’d like my muscles to recover as much as possible and I also have a busy school schedule that I have to combine with blogger activities. However, if I find the time on one of the days that I’d normally not workout I’ll do some ‘Blogilates’ videos.

First of all, I’ll always wear a fitbit charge 2 when I workout to track my calories and my heartbeat. This isn’t a necessity but I really like wearing it because it motivates me to kill myself during my workout.

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I will be going to the gym. Each of these days I’ll start with 30 min of cardio. I really like walking “uphill” on the treadmill. I normally walk at speed 5,5 and my hill will be around 6%. The last 10 minutes I walk with a slope of 7%. I’m also going to the other cardio machines and I’ll tell you what I think about them in a blogpost. But at the moment this is what I will do as cardio. You can also do something else like running or on the elliptical machine.

On Monday I’ll focus on my legs. I’ll do 4 reps of each 10 lifts on each leg machine in the gym I go to. There are about 4 machines that train my upper legs and these are the ones I use. I put on a weight of about 18-24 kg but if you’re a beginner you should start with the minimum. After each sets of 10 reps, I wait 30 seconds before I move on to the next set. After my leg workout I’ll do a ab workout with my boyfriend. I do this PIIT (pilates high intensity interval training). This means that I’ll do one movement for about 45 seconds and then I get to rest for 15 seconds. After these 15 seconds I move on to the next movement. The total of movements I’m doing is 7. I got the different moves from the “Extreme Abs” videos on the Blogilates youtube channel. I will put them below but you can also make your own version with the ab videos you can find on the Blogilates youtube channel. If you don’t understand which kind of exercises this are, you can find out easily by searching them on Google.

  • Criss cross
  • Full Sit-up
  • Crunch with legs and arms twisted
  • Ankle reach
  • Corkscrew
  • Heel extension
  •  Earthquake

On Wednesday I’m going to do a big butt and thighs workout. I will also be doing this PIIT style like I described earlier. I’m going to try and change up my exercises each week and I’m going to chose exercises from the following videos.

There are a lot of other videos with a lot of other exercises so if you want to try something else you will definitely find it on the ‘Blogilates’ Channel.

After this I will also repeat the ab workout from Monday.

On Thursday I’ll also start with a 30 minute cardio workout. After that I will focus on my saddlebags and muffintops. Guess what, the exercises I use for this are also from Blogilates. Again I’ll do this PITT style like I described to you earlier. I really like following exercises and I will be changing them up each week. These are only a few examples! I will post the exercises I’ll do each week on my instastories and on my weekly progress blogpost (@lauralynnsworld)

On Saturday I’ll be doing a full Blogilates workout. I’ll start with 28 minutes of PIIT/HIIT/CARDIO. I mostly do the following videos:

Cardio beat workout, Ultimate fat burn workout , Wonder woman workout

You can also use videos from the PIIT calender which you can find on this website: https//:www.blogilates.com/

After these 30 minutes I’ll be doing a combination of abs and legs workouts with her videos.

This is my workout plan in a nutshell. Hopefully you guys like it and want to join me in my journey to a healthier body and lifestyle.

Tell me in the comments below what you’d like to see on my blog or youtube about this!

XOXO

This was 2017 & This will be 2018

Hi guys!

Today I want to talk about 2017 and about what’s to come in 2018.

2017 was a big year for me. I grew much more on Instagram and I grew into a better person. This year I got out of my comfort zone. I had always been a very shy girl, afraid to do things alone. I always thought about what other people would say about me when I walked in the room and my heart started racing when I had to talk in front of a group. I have been struggling with a little bit of social anxiety my whole life. I know you might not have thought this about me, because I am so open on Instagram and on my Instagram stories. But in general I’m a very timid person. This year, however, I stepped out of my comfort zone. In school I had to talk more and more in front of people I didn’t know. I made a lot more friends in school. (I didn’t have a lot of friends there, because I was so afraid all the time). I went to class a lot more and I learned that other people aren’t that scary at all! I went to events, by myself… This was a very big step for me. I normally didn’t dare to go to Antwerp by myself without Thomas. But this year, I did and I felt like a true boss-babe.

I came out of my comfort zone not only on this level, but I also learned how to wear other fashion items. Not only sneakers all the time. I also did things I would’ve been afraid to do when I was younger on my travels. I drove around in Spain, I did a big hike in Vietnam, I discovered new foods, I asked people I didn’t know where I needed to go. And I don’t plan on stopping. In 2018 I’m going to get out of my comfort zone even more. I’m going to India with my boyfriend, for the first time in Asia without my parents. I’m going to keep on challenging myself into becoming the woman I want to be. I’m going to work out more, be healthier, go to more events alone, vlog more, be even more open with my followers. You haven’t seen everything yet people!

This year I also learned that it’s okay to let things go. To let people go. Some people are just not meant to be in your life. It’s not their fault but they just don’t fit into your lifestyle and mindset. If they make you feel like a less better version of yourself, it’s time to let them go. This year also taught me to take things more lightly. Don’t take everything so serious all the time. I only have one life to live and I don’t want to worry all the time and let life pass me by. I enjoyed the little things more. TV and pizza with my bf, shooting photos with my boyfriend, enjoying a movie, time with my mom, cuddles with my dog,… Life can’t be a big experience every single day. So enjoy the little things, and make the best of every day you have.

schermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-30-38.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-19-38.png

I learned to be healthier, to feel better, to not feel depressed all the time. I travelled to lots of places and I got more conscious about the world. It made me realize that I want to see a lot more of this planet. I let life take me on adventures and I made my life an adventure just by enjoying every minute of it. Thanks to Instagram I had great opportunities. I got to go to a lot of events (like this amazing TUI event), I have a collaboration with L’oréal and I got free food from Deliveroo (I mean does it get any better than free food?).

schermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-20-06.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-20-17.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-21-50.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-21-57.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-21-33.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-21-27.pngschermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-22-22.png

I started vlogging more often and I discovered that I love this so much. I started cooking more, and discovered that this is also something I really love to do. I also got closer to a lot of people. Friends became best friends. I realized what real friends are this year. I also realized that it’s okay to feel bad sometimes. Just pick yourself up the next day. I also got a lot closer to my animals. This year we got a new dog, a White Sheperd. She made me fall in love with dogs again. I smiled to almost every person I came across. I tried to better myself on Instagram. Better quality, more personal, more sharing. I love sharing everything with you guys so much and I want to try to keep doing it as long as I can. I just love sharing my life with the world. I have always loved this and I won’t stop it for anything. I don’t do it for the collabs or the events, I do it just for me.

Schermafbeelding 2018-01-03 om 13.22.38schermafbeelding-2018-01-03-om-13-24-34.png

This year was a game changer for me. Me and my life have gotten better on so many levels. And I don’t plan on changing this in 2018. I’m going to travel a LOT. India, Ireland, Mauritius, Rome, … Maybe even other countries. I’m going to improve my photos and feed on Instagram and make everything a lot more professional. I’m going to work on a logo for my blog and YouTube. Talking about YouTube. You’re going to see me on there a lot this year. Also my blog will be a lot more active. I will be healthier. Not only will I work out more and feel better, I will also eat healthier. Maybe a little less meat. I will go on as many adventures as I can, and I will finish my Bachelor in Clinical psychology this year! I will reach 20K and I will hopefully get more opportunities thanks to Instagram. I will do a lot more fun things with my friends and with my boyfriend. But most of all, I will be sharing everything with you guys. Hopefully you will be part of my 2018.

XOXO

Who doesn’t love christmas dresses. I don’t think anyone doesn’t. So here’s a new glitter christmas outfit post for you guys. I found this dress in Pull and Bear a few weeks ago, and I fell in love the minute I saw it. I tried it on and I didn’t want to take it off again. It’s a glitter dress with stripes and I really love the fact that there are brown glitter stripes on the dress. I combined it with my adidas superstars. They have silver stripes and this way you get a festive but sporty and comfortable look. I also wore some brown eye-makeup that fits perfectly with the brown stripes in the dress. To complete the outfit, I decided to wear my fluffy bomber jacket. I bought this one in Intro Fashion store in Asse. Hope you guys had an amazing Christmas!

My Christmas Wishlist

Hi guys! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. I’ve been busy with a lot of school stuff and youtube lately, and I completely lost sight of my awesome blog. So to start with some new year resolutions, I am back! Today I’m going to tell you about my Xmas wish list! You can bring me anything of this list, send me a message and I’ll give you the address (LOL, just kidding… Or am I?) Let’s begin!

LUSH

I want this each year. I am addicted to everything you can buy in this store (especially the bath stuff). The christmas collection is always so cute and amazing, and I love trying them out as a relaxation during my exams. You can always make me smile with some bathbombs and christmas lush presents.

LUSH-Christmas

STRONGER

I am very into being healthy and fit at the moment, and you can’t workout without the proper workout clothes. I have been in love with these workout sets for a long time, and I would love to find on of these cute outfits under my christmas tree. It will help me be even more motivated to workout and die in the gym :D.

COSY STUFF

I think every girl likes getting this for christmas. It’s fun to wear, fluffy and it makes you feel like a 12 year old again. I mean who doesn’t want that, right? I really love fluffy socks and pyjama’s by hunkemöller etc. Especially the pink cosy stuff is adorable. I already have a lot of these kind of things, but you can never have enough. Socks, pyjama’s, cosy pants, … Just anything that’s warm, fluffy and that makes me look like an exploded bunny will do.

A NEW MACBOOK COVER

I am in need of a new cover for my macbook. I really like the glitter-y one I have now but it’s time for a new one. I love the marble ones a lot! They are very classy and insta-worthy, and I love that! Other cases that are also timeless and instaworthy, like a cool palm tree print, are also very nice.

A COOL BIG HANDBAG.

I really want a nice big handbag to go to school with in which I can put my laptop. I have my eye on a few. I am addicted to Karl Lagerfeld, so any bag of his with a cat on it will make me cry. I also like the new handbags by gigi hadid from Tommy Hilfiger. And the handbags that you can buy in Essentiel are also to die for.

MAKE UP!

You can always make me happy with some new eyeshadow or lipstick by for example MAC COSMETICS. I really like to experiment with different kind of styles lately and I enjoy it a lot! I love the new personality palettes (picture 1) and the Snowball collection is sooo pretty, especially the matte lipsticks are gorgeous! (colors: pink and the one in the left corner below haha 🙂 )schermafbeelding-2017-12-10-om-15-44-24.png

So these are some of the things that I would really like to have for Christmas. Maybe I gave you guys some ideas to ask for yourself as well. What do you want for Christmas? Tell me in the comments!!

XOXO

Black Leather and Fall Flowers

img_6306.jpgimg_6381.jpgIMG_6437img_6310.jpgIMG_6394IMG_6463IMG_6384img_6331.jpgIMG_6413IMG_6478

Well hello there. Fall is back in town and that means that my fall wardrobe gets it’s time to shine. This is my very first Fall Outfit on the blog( YAY!).

I adore this time of the year. Back to cosy clothes, fireplaces and hot coco. And the colours in Autumn are just the best. Brown and orange, so cosy and beautiful. Let’s hope the rain doesn’t make an appearance any time soon though, right?

Back to the outfit. It’s brand new and I bought it in ‘Zara’. I love the shirt very much and the flower details are just gorgeous. The sleeves are a little bit bigger and I am loving that style! I combined this lovely t-shirt with some fake leather shorts. It’s perfect for fall because it isn’t too cold yet and it gives your outfit a fancy but also sporty touch. It’s very comfy and I love walking around in these fashionable shorts. I used my new ‘Liu Jo’ bag and favorite ‘Nike’s’ to finish it off.

I hope you liked my FIRST FALL OUTFIT POST. Many more are coming so don’t forget to follow my blog. Right now.

See you later guys!

My hair Analysis with L’oréal

Last Friday, I was invited to go to the L’oréal headquarters in Brussels for a hair analysis. L’oréal has designed a new product called a ‘Power Mix’. Thanks to all the different types of ‘Power Mixes’, the hairdresser can make a hair treatment that fits your hair type perfectly by mixing different things together. I had to fill in a form with all kinds of questions about my hair and about the way I treat it. After this, a professional hairdresser took a look at my hair and he told me exactly what my hair needed to look healthy and beautiful. He also told me that he loved my hair colour and that I had a colour that a lot of girls want. That made me blush a lot (hihi 🙂 ). The hairdresser was very kind and although he spoke French, I understood almost everything he told me (I was surprised by myself). The professional told me that my hair was very healthy overall but because of the fact that my hair is pretty long, I need a very nurturing and strengthening hair product. Because my hair is longer, my hair is also a lot more vulnerable. He suggested I’d start using the ‘Inforcer’ products mixed with a power mix called : Shot Nutri Glycerol. This is a nourishing additive. They mixed it and tested it on me immediately.

IMG_6017IMG_6019IMG_6025IMG_6029IMG_6035

The first thing I noticed when they started to wash my hair, was the smell. The smell of this product is just amazing. And the smell stays in your hair even after it’s dry. The ‘inforcer’ shampoo is very foamy and I really like that. After the shampoo, it was time for the hair mask mixed with the power mix. The power mix also smelled fantastic. I don’t know how they make their products smell this good, but I seriously love it.

IMG_6057IMG_6059IMG_6060

After they washed my hair, my hair smelled amazing and it was so soft! It was time to start brushing my hair. The hairdresser brushed my hair backwards to give it more volume, and it really worked. My hair had a lot more volume! But the most remarkable thing is the way my hair felt. It felt very light, soft and it smelled fantastic (yes, I already said this, but it’s just a fact!)

IMG_6066IMG_6079IMG_6085IMG_6090IMG_6114IMG_6118IMG_6141IMG_6152IMG_6154IMG_6156

I was very happy with the results and I got my personalized product home with me. I would seriously recommend it to everyone. It’s so important to treat your hair with the right care, and with this product your hair doesn’t miss out on anything. You can get your  personalized product at your local L’oreal hairdresser! I don’t know when exactly, but it’s coming!

Thanks for having me, L’oréal. As usual, it was a pleasure.

Dinner @ L’improbable

Hi guys! Last week I went to L’improbable with my boyfiend to enjoy some cosy night out. I got to eat here for free to try out the new menu. Today, I will be sharing my experience with you guys.

The restaurant is best described by one word : Bistronomy. It’s a french mix of bistro and gastronomy. It isn’t extremely fancy but it isn’t comparable to a bistro either. I had never eaten in such a kind of restaurant, so I was very thrilled to try it out.

L’improbable gave me a very cosy vibe and the music they played was ideal. I really liked the brick walls and the bar a lot.

IMG_0355IMG_0345IMG_0353

TO DRINK : for drinks I had a mojito and my boyfriend took the house special. The mojito was very good and it had the right amount of sweet and sour. My boyfriend also really liked his house special a lot.

IMG_0362

Before I start talking about the food, I want to talk to you guys about the bread with truffle butter we got. I am a BIG truffle lover, I put it in everything you can possibly think of. But I had never tasted it in butter before. A new world opened up for me. This butter was SO GOOD! I can’t exactly describe how it tasted. Okay yes I can… It tasted like heaven.

IMG_0366
IMG_0383

TO EAT : After enjoying our cocktail and bread, we decided what we were going to eat. As a starter I took the “Foie Gras with plums” and my boyfriend took the “coquilles Saint Jacques”. My Foie Gras was very tasty. I hadn’t eaten Foie Gras with plums before, but the combination was surprising. It was very delicious and I was sad when I realized my plate was empty. My boyfriend also enjoyed his scallops very much. It isn’t easy to make Coquilles but these were cooked to perfection. The plates were also beautifully decorated.

IMG_0368IMG_0370

As a main I decided to go for the ‘Iberico porc with Parmesan gnocchi’. My boyfriend chose ‘chicken breast with Polenta fries”. My main… It was sooo good. I normally don’t really like a lot of meat. But this was unbelievably delicious. The porc was very soft and the Parmesan Gnocchi was the best imaginable side dish. I think my boyfriend was a little bit jealous, which was totally understandable. His dish was also very nice, but the Iberico Porc stole away the price for best dish of the evening.

IMG_0377IMG_0371

DESERT TIME : We both took the banana with homemade lemon sorbet. I liked the desert but I think It would’ve liked it more if the bananas would’ve been caramelized instead of breaded. The sorbet was homemade and that was something you could really taste.

IMG_0386

I really loved this restaurant and I’d definitely want to come back sometime. The food was incredible and I enjoyed it very much. It had been a long time since I had eaten such fantastic food. The personnel was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cosy and home-y.
I immediately recommended it to my father, to go eat there with his clients sometimes. If you are ever visiting our beautiful Belgian capitol, you should hop into this restaurant, for sure.

I hope you enjoyed my blogpost. Talk to you soon!
